Shopping in the Orlando Area. If you are anything like Jan then you love to browse (and even buy like crazy) at the local shopping malls. Below are some of the malls we have visited and even some that we haven't (although that would be going some!) The Florida Mall This is a great shopping mall located on the Orange Blossom Trail/ Sand Lake Road junction. It has all the big names in US department stores like JC Penny and SAK Fifth Avenue. There are also lots of smaller boutiques and a great food court. For more details go to http://floridamall.orlandofanatic.com/ Prime Outlet Stores
Festival Bay Just across the road from the Prime Outlet is the new Mall of Festival Bay which was opened in 2003. This mall also incorporates a multi screen cinema and Vans Skateboard arena with lots of ramps for skate boarding, roller blades and mountain biking (the equipment is available for hire). There is also a great Ron Jon's store as well as a Surf Park which is due to open in 2008. We would recommend this mall for a great afternoon out when the weather is not so good (rare we know!) or when looking for something to do whist waiting to head on to the airport an you way home. Flea Markets There are lots of these along the 192 and they are certainly worth a browse if you are looking for some small items to take home. They are also a great place to pick up some great luggage as you will probably need some extra space for all the bargains you have picked up during your stay! Please bear in mind that the computer games, Playstations etc that you could buy at a good price won't work in the UK! Last but by no means least Walmart! This great 24 hr Superstore is just a couple of minutes drive from the villa and is full of stuff you need and stuff you didn't know you needed! They have a wide range of food (including Organic) and toys, household goods, cool boxes - Think Asda on overdrive and you are there. Well we hope this gives you a bit of a taste of the shopping experience in Orlando but if you need more go to http://www.orlandofanatic.com/Shopping for more details of places to spend your money.
Happy Shopping!!!
